Ordering ammo soon.

Postby Plague Lord » Wed Oct 12, 2005 7:37 am

Sending an order in to sportsmansguide.com soon for some
7.62x39 T-45 tracer,
9mm GP red tip,
9mm MagSafe personal defense rounds.

Magsafe uses a hollow point controlled core technology similar to silver line/hydroshock.

Yep magsafes some nasty shit. Pricey but how often are you really going to need to use it?

Interesting. I would not mind getting two boxes (One for the range, one for the home if it's good).

I use .40S&W for my pistol. Is it as good as HydroShock or Corbon? I usually get the 160gr or the 180gr.

Corbon's some nasty shit. I have shot milk jugs filled with water, and they literally explode. I was about 15 feet away once, and got splashed a little bit because some of the water flew off the backboard.

Magsafe delivers less kinetic energy than the two you mentioned (lighter round) but it expands better and penetrates walls ect less. So no worry about firing a round of magsafe and having it clip through a wall and then some poor SOB on the other side.

Considering it's nearly winter, I really would not have an opportunity to test this stuff out.

I'm a member of Deerfield Pistol & Archery Center, but you cant blow shit up in there like you can in the country.

I'll probably only order 2 boxes of the magsafe. Enough to fill 2 clips every other with tracer and magsafe for my night stand pistol. Probably the same for the 9mm tracer. I'll get a decent chunk of the 7.62 T-45's though, they're cheaper by far.

I think that will leave me with 5-6 spare magsafe's in 9mm. Might still get out to yellowstone or someones farm to blow some shit up.

I'll be putting that order in on the 15th so yell at me if you want to split the order or just grab stuff on your own.

They've got a pretty good deal on US MIL surplus .308 tracer rounds if anyone needs/can use them. 100 for 31 bucks.

LoL I know what you mean. The small amount you save will probably be waisted in the drive over.

Figured I'd check just in case someone wanted a 100+ rounds or something. Shipping that much lead and brass gets pricey.

Yep the magsafe's are like $1.65 per round. Pricey deadly little SOB's.
