AR-15 .50 Beowulf

Postby Plague Lord » Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:26 pm

Been lookingto build an AR style rifle and have been leaning towards a Alexander Arms 16" .50 Beowulf upper. Anyone seen these before? NRA gave them a good review in the 200 yrd club/home defense.

I've never personally seen a custom .50Cal upper before. Does it use action express ammo, or full size cartridges?

I would be curious to see the jacket size, and grain.

Reloading Data

The manufacturer sells Brass, reloading dies ect, though the NRA article I have on it says you can cut down a larger brass but I don't recall what which brass exactly.

Pre loaded rounds and reloading dies & brass.

The Beowulf uses stock AR mags, single .50 round stack instead of a staggerd stack. 10 round mag = 7 rounds 20rnd mag = 15 The review tested it with multip mag styles, steel and polymer mag bodies. Zero feed issues.
