He still lived in WI, I wonder what his funeral will be like.
Smith and Wesson 3:57: "And lo, the LORD did calleth down upon the unrighteous the fire, the brimstone, and the 120-grain hollowpoints. And the unrighteous did suffer the Hydroshok ammo, and did perish. And the LORD did sayeth, 'Not so lucky, eh punk?'. Amen."

I was so thinking of that line when I heard about it on NPR today... easy one I guess.

For the funeral, I vote for a play on that Futurama bit:

From what I've heard that bit was pulled directly from a gygax response to meeting a long time fan at a convension years and years back.

That doesn't surprise me... was the bit on the show voiced by Gary himself? It did definitely sound like something he would say/do from what I know of the guy.

I was thinking about slipping one of my old matched pair D20's into the coffin. How cool would that be?

I channel the spirit of dead Gary Gygax with this D20! POW! 20!

I have this image of the guys picking up the coffin after all the visitors have had their turn to process past it, and every time they take a step they hear hundreds of dice shaking around inside. ;p

In honor of Gary's passing, anyone who misses role playing this Friday will learn that their character has died.
